Warner's Market

Warner's Market
Warner's Market is an antique shop with a restaurant serving up different types of breakfasts and pastries, with specials in store. They buy and sell vintage and antique goods in their small store.
What’s the story?
After the original founder passed, Warner's Market were looking for a rebrand to spruce up their instore look, feel and promotions. They felt the store was very stuck in the past and wanted to modernise with the introduction of a new restaurant and the creation of a responsive logo to be used across their store and restaurant including tableware, price tags and menus.

The problems we faced while working through this brief were that the original branding was very basic and not cohesive so we had to first bring that together. Working together to find a visually pleasing colour scheme for the brand keywords was the first step and working toward getting the correct vibe and direction for the logo and menu fell into place after that.

Sketching out the logo was a great learning curve, with the brief being to keep the old feel but to modernise it to their current needs.

Logo Process
Once the mood boarding was finalised and signed off, I moved onto sketching of the logo. Following the keywords and brief, I researched different shapes, looks and styles of vintage signs, labels and menus to get a better idea of what would fit and work with the brand.

After drawing up the different ideas for the primary logos, I chose the best 3 and moved onto making them responsive. While doing this, I had to keep in mind what they could be used for and how they would fit with the products and the vibe of the rest of the brand still.
